The 7 Top Experiences to Book on Viator Right Now

We love free-style travel and don’t really use organized tours since we like having lots of flexibility. But we DO love booking individual day tours on Viator because they make it really easy to search for and schedule awesome experiences. Also, there is a free 24 hour cancellation on most experiences in case your plans change giving you the ULTIMATE in flexible plans!

Greece

This is a personal favorite – Yas has actually done this tour twice! This tour picks you up from the port in Fira and takes you on an awesome wooden boat to Nea Kameni. Here you’ll hike up a (relatively short) volcano and see stunning views over Santorini and the sea. You’ll be able to see the crater and hear the sounds of steam inside the volcano. Then you’ll be whisked off to Palea Kameni to soak in the natural hot springs. Definitely bring your swimsuit and plenty of sunscreen on this one! Read more about our Santorini recommendations here!

France

This absolutely phenomenal boat cruise is a must-do on any romantic couples trip to Paris. We celebrated our engagement on this cruise, and it was an evening to remember! If you can, pay extra to sit by the window. We did the Service Privilege and it was absolutely amazing with a multi-course meal with accompanying wine and coffee. You’ll drift slowly past all the famous Paris landmarks while enjoying a delicious and romantic meal that is well worth every penny. Check out other awesome experiences in Paris here

Sri Lanka

One of the things that Mirissa, Sri Lanka is well known for is whale watching. You’ll be overwhelmed with the amount of tour companies that offer this service. We had a good experience with Eagle Eye, and saw multiple whales along with their blow holes. Everyone was really friendly on the tour and they offered us fruits and drinks as refreshments as well.

This is probably the most worthwhile tour we have ever done. The waterfall tour is operated by a local guide who takes you up into the mountains near Kandy on his tuk tuk. He is very knowledgeable about local plants and animals. You’ll visit a nearby spice garden, and he will take you to multiple gorgeous waterfalls. Several of them are those that only locals would know about. This was a really breath-taking and exclusive experience and we cannot recommend it more. Our guide even packed a delicious lunch on a banana leaf that we ate at the bottom of the falls!

Mexico

The arch is definitely something you’ll want to check out while you’re in Cabo! This captain is awesome and is very knowledgeable about the local area. All the staff and crew are super friendly and it is definitely worth doing.

Costa Rica

We highly recommend doing a night walk while visiting Costa Rica. Normally we are all for exploring on our own, but we definitely recommend doing this with an experienced guide. For one thing – there are all kinds of creepy crawlies that come out at night! Think spiders, snakes, and more… A guide also has a more trained eye and will be able to point out things like sloths hanging in the trees. Peep our Costa Rica itinerary here!

Hawaii

We have yet to get certified to scuba dive, and this is the closest thing to it. The above tour is based out of the island of Maui. This awesome semi submarine cruise is a great way to see the fish and coral that Lahaina Harbor has to offer! Check out more on Maui here.
