Heading to Greece this summer? Check out this must-have Greece packing list of all the essentials you’ll need!
Paperwork
- Passport – make sure to take a photo of your passport on your phone and email it to yourself as well for backup!
- COVID-19 vaccination card (or negative test)
- International Drivers Permit – you’ll need this if you want to rent an ATV (which you should DEFINITELY do!)
- Drivers license
- Travel credit cards and foreign currency – try to exchange with your bank before getting to the airport for lower fees!
- Copy of your travel insurance – we book through Squaremouth
- Tickets for activities or ferries – most companies will accept electronic copies, but some don’t. Be sure to check in advance!
- A good book
- Card game – check out the World’s Smallest Uno!
Clothes
- 3 bathing suits and cover ups
- 1 lightweight jacket or cardigan
- 3 dresses or lightweight shirts/pants
- 7 underwear
- 4 pairs of socks
- Water shoes – some of the Greek coastline is pretty rocky, so you want to protect your feet, these ones fold up nice and small
- Sturdy sneakers – we really like this brand because they are attractive enough to wear with regular clothes as well as for hiking/walking!
- Sandals – we found this brand through Buzzfeed and it has truly delivered (you can walk for miles and miles in them and not get blisters)
Accessories
- Waterproof bag
- Collapsible water bottle – save the planet by avoiding single-use plastic. It’s a no-brainer.
- Wide brimmed hat
- Sunglasses
- Belt (if you need one)
- Travel pillow – we are obsessed with our Trtl travel pillows which allow us to get amazing sleep on the plane!
Toiletries
- Hand sanitizer
- Glasses or contact lens and solution
- Mini tooth paste and toothbrush
- Dental floss
- Foldable hair brush
- Deodorant – make sure to get one that’s less than 3 oz if you’re bringing it in your carry on!
- Bug spray or bug wipes – this one is non-toxic, 3 oz, and doesn’t have aerosol so is carry-on safe!
- Sunscreen (lots!)
- SPF Lip Balm
- Medications or supplements (we always travel with pain reliever and allergy pills)
- Plastic ziplock bags – these always come in handy for keeping things separate or dry
- Washer sheets if you’re going to be there long enough to need to do laundry
- Razor
- Tweezers
- Nail file
- Most other toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion) will be available at your hotel, but if you prefer specific brands you should make sure to bring them
Electronics
- A universal travel adapter – we like this one!
- Headphones (with a plug – for the plane in case they don’t have extras or charge for headphones!)
- Chargers for devices
- Portable power bank – to charge all your devices while traveling!
- AirPods – these are worth the splurge because of the noise canceling feature. You’ll definitely rest better on the plane.
